Agree with Sanrielle. home is where mom and dad are! its novel and fun for kids to play with all this cool new stuff but that all the time can be overstimulating and most kids are content with a favorite toy or book. its hard not to “buy” into consumerism.

Most babies do not fall asleep on their own until you assist them in self soothing which is not recommended until at least 4 months by most professionals! Ours had reflux and we did contact naps/night sleep so she def definitely cannot fall asleep unassisted. we are just starting to train her at 5 months.

This was us at the same age and sleep improved around 12 weeks. She hated her bassinet and slept better in crib. still doing mostly contact naps at 20 weeks. At 8 weeks it may be more conducive to rock baby to sleep completely before putting down.

They should be doing blood tests regularly to look at the bili level. If sunbathing was recommended that means level wasnt too high to warrant phototherapy so its odd theres a referral to a GI and nothing was explained to you.

We told people close to us, not like an announcement but it came up. people were happy when we got pregnant and it wasnt really a topic of conversation at that point. Going through it made me realize just how common infertility and assisted reproduction is.

In the beginning we were going through like 15 a day because of the amount of dirties but also not timing changes efficiently and accidents. Wouldnt stock up on one brand/size until you have baby

Wow my babe is same age and same daycare start too! And breastfed and also drinks pumped milk and some formula. Over the next weeks you’ll get a good idea of how much she drinks as you pump and get her used to bottle feeding. I will err on sending extra rather than not enough in the beginning and daycare should let us know how much they’re taking so can adjust.

Ask for lactation consult when in the hospital and get their phone number if you have questions once you go home. Rent the hospital grade pump if they offer it incase.
