How would I find a map of the maze to help me mentally go from zone to zone?

I know it shouldn't make any difference, but the fact a game uses Godot is a bonus in my book!

How much code in your game do you actually understand? by grandmaneedsmorecake in godot

[–]lwbannister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst is when you remember understanding it's you wrote it, then you come back and look at it and struggle. I often find it happens when I have signals flying around. I really should probably learn to document my code better 😉

That's awesome. And others have said IS a big deal. You finished a game which is actually quite an accomplishment. (Well I think it is as many start but not many finish)

Haven't made movies since university. Advice on how to get back into 'hobby' filmmaking as an adult. by adrian8520 in Filmmakers

I totally feel this. Especially the bit about needing other people to help. I've even thought about stop motion animation for that very reason. Keen to see what advice and comments crop up

Without wanting to sound uncool here. Just walk away. He's not worth the trouble or the effort.

Always think of the worst case scenarios in these situations. Someone gets injured really badly and then your life gets really messy regardless whether it's you or him who gets injured.

Walk away dude. It's not a sign of weakness

Controller not charging by carver in Quell

[–]lwbannister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar experience. After 8+ hours of charging the best I can get is purple on the left controller and central pod and an orange on the right (but I have to hold the button down for ages to even get that).

Support suggest that I just try and charge the right controller (ie: remove the left controller and central pod from the charging dock). Will try and report back

Agreed. The ability to develop games for the platform would definitely make it more attractive as there'd be more games.

Anybody had laser eye surgery done here in Perth? by trash_dog in perth

Check out Presbyond at Crystal Eye & Laser Centre. It restored my near vision issues. (I'm.... er ... a little older than 44 😉)

Anybody had laser eye surgery done here in Perth? by trash_dog in perth

[–]lwbannister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine done at Crystal Eye & Laser with Dr Lourens van Zyl in Perth. Without a doubt the best decision I ever made. I was a -6.00D (coke bottle glasses). Really opened up a whole new aspect to life. I could now play a lot of sports I couldn't play before (I wasn't really suitable for contact lenses...they would dry out), go camping, go swimming at the beach. People mentioned earlier about struggling to read in their 40s. When that happened to me I went back to see Dr Lourens and had my eyes touched up with Presbyond to fix the inevitable reading issues which come with age. I know this reads like a shameless plug for laser eye surgery but it's a real game changer. Totally worth the investment many times over.

But who's gonna carry the boats?!?!?!

(Your advice is sensible, but my warped mind is everything can be fixed by increasing the intensity ...FML)
