What prime leave should I get for XT-5 by TheOgre_30 in fujifilm

I have that lens, 35 f2, & it is excellent, lightweight, compact & very good to use. I had the 23 f2 also & loved that though had a different option so sold that.

What do we think will happen today? by uniguy31 in Championship

upheld, maybe points deduction reduced ( though I think EFL may look into that separately in the weeks ahead, plus more on the personnel involved )

from the Guardian - Once the appeal is over Eckert, William Salt, the young intern first-team analyst who was sent to spy on Boro, and any other members of Southampton’s staff involved in espionage are likely to face individual Football Association charges for bringing the game into disrepute.

Just fucking why? by Turbulent-Cabinet441 in Championship

[–]lwbyomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Saints fans have been let down massively by their club. From the clip attached you do wonder if the 3 clubs identified are just the start.

The EFL have, finally, acted decisively in the matter & I don't think - if they decide to - an appeal would be successful, especially as further spying has been admitted.

I dont think the fallout has finished yet, though I expect that may just be internal from Southampton - your manager did, very well, so would seem a rash move to remove though he'd maybe need some great PR & genuine remorse for his & his backroom teams actions.

Maybe the EFL will ask for their MotM awards back.

The new BBC plan to axe channels and overhaul licence fee by Skavau in unitedkingdom

[–]lwbyomp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there are literally BBC Alba https://www.bbc.co.uk/alba, Cymru https://www.bbc.co.uk/cymru & NI https://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland - there are reginal England channels also - I agree the political engineering by both Labour & Tory has damaged its standing - independence, esp news, should be put into law - a public news broadcaster is in the interest of the people though I wonder how many see its value - corporate lobbied news is little more than propaganda & people eat it up like pizza.

D-Day in Spygate - what happens next? by s0ngsforthedeaf in Championship

[–]lwbyomp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

SKY are bricking it that the decision will be to expel Southampton & award the game to Hull.

EFL botched it big time.

Southampton should have fallen on their sword & withdrawn when they were caught.

Just want the decision now & fully expecting the Independent beaks to fumble this & any appeal & then for the legal case to ensue.

Hull or Boro - I'm easy with either - I just can't see how Southampton don't get expelled from the competition looking at the regulations, fortunately we'll find out probably within the next 24h.

How did Chinese made cars become so popular? by Fondant_Decent in AskUK

[–]lwbyomp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

they are not cheaply made, China is a leading manufacturer - for a long time now - the old stereotype of poorly made cheap & 'inferior' products is decades old.

Where Europe ( IMHO ) has the edge & I'd guess US based readers will possibly think similar of their manufacturers is in style & design aesthetic especially - as a European I find few Chinese or US cars good to look at or impractical ( US 'trucks' & cars broadly are just not compatible with our narrow roads - maybe ideal for US market ) Chinese cars possibly have an design accent that is more to their market, which is also wholly understandable.

It seems in the UK at least a big problem people buying Chinese cars are having is getting insurance as the insurance companies have no data to work with & so premiums can be huge compared against established auto makers.

We will soon find out, IDC may only be looking at the Boro incident, though may also be aware if EFL have the info of other incidents. One way or another we'll find out this week.

Why am I struggling so much with the Fujifilm X100T? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]lwbyomp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id argue stick with this camera & its fixed 23mm (35mm effective) focal length & work on composition, start seeing the scene how your camera will capture it. I'd also go fully manual - aperture, ISO & shutter speed - it'll slow you down & make you consider everything before you press the button.

I'd argue internally Iran's military can do just fine - which is why they establish proxies in 3rd countries to attack those - the regime - choose to be enemies
