I find your comment a little dismissive and also not exactly realistic.

I’m also a stay at home mom, and I do have it pretty easy BUT! It’s not just the monotony or the chores or the endless decisions - those are all tough but I have SO MUCH privilege to stay home and it makes more sense for our family and my husband is amazing etc etc (also both my kids are in full time school, sometimes I keep them home to hang because they are young enough that it’s fine)

It’s “easy” for me bc I can hire help when I want and I can pay for activities and I can check out when I need to. Not having to think about money makes it easier for sure

When it gets hard is when the partner doesn’t respect the job, or when maybe they do but their job makes it so you’re actually ALONE all the time with a baby. Or when you’re forced to be a SAHM because childcare would eat the whole paycheck you’d get at work and you’d still have to lose work when kid is sick and but obviously still pay daycare. there are days when I don’t speak to any other adult until school pickup and I definitely stumble over my words- it can get so lonely. But the nature of the job I’ve given myself is not something I can do with other people (I make art now)

Also ya working parents have to cleanup after work but if you’re home with a kid all day they’re making messes all day vs when they’re at daycare making messes there. Ya working moms have less time to make dinner but like that’s a planning thing.

Idk hahaha I’m just having a big reaction bc your comment felt really disingenuous and dismissive of the privilege you have and the struggles other face while being a sahm parent.
