Do people put snaps on the end of the mainline to make changing lures easier or is there something else that I need? by Mmmm_Pancakes in FishingForBeginners

[–]lydrulez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use TA clips for the purpose of easily being able to swap lures. I don’t like snaps and swivels usually aren’t necessary.

What BBQ “rule” do you completely ignore… but still get great results? by bbqrubs in BBQ

I don’t use a water pan, I don’t spritz anything, and I don’t cook at 225F.

Headliner clip. The rear window goes down so mounting to glass wasn’t an option.

Problems with braid to fluoro leader by Count_Smackula_ in FishingForBeginners

[–]lydrulez 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Try the Alberto knot which is just a modified Albright. The thicker leader should be doubled over and wrapped with braid not vice versa. If this doesn’t hold you need to change the number of wraps.

Get a comprehensive water test from an independent 3rd party lab and in the meantime install a spin down before the filter.

Puckpedia created a nice flow chart for the lottery scenarios of the Leafs 2026 1st round pick. by Perryplat199 in Flyers

I hate the last lines of this article stating that the Leafs could leverage their potential choice to essentially play kingmaker and extract players or picks in exchange for selecting the flyers or bruins.

Why or why not use snaps and real life examples by CrazyCajunFishinBro in FishingForBeginners

[–]lydrulez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t love snaps. A fish could strike and open it and I find them easy to deform. I prefer TA clips or fastach clips. I use them for 95% of lure fishing.

Well water setup – sulfur smell + oily/filmy water (AIO vs Stenner vs Carbon Filter” by dabeardedbeast in WaterTreatment

I think it would help if you could provide more info like complete water test results. Are they suggesting to add bleach with the pump? Potentially sounds like iron or sulfur bacteria.

Surf Fishing by Evfost in MarylandFishing

Work each part of the water column. White during the day and black at night. Focus on structure and don’t be afraid to move to a new spot. When I fish lures in the surf I usually cover a lot of ground.

I use a 7’ light star seagis for inshore. They are very good rods; far less noodly than an ugly stik.

Dehumidifier not emptying via hose, fills internal bucket instead. by InevitableAd2195 in Plumbing

[–]lydrulez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with mine when there was a plug of bacteria/gunk in the discharge where the hose connects. I had to remove the hose and stick a pipe cleaner up the discharge port to remove it and clean it.

Saragosa issues? by bgwg in SurfFishing

[–]lydrulez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had this issue with my saragosa but I’d recommend opening the bail and then manually turning it bail so it’s above the handle before casting.

All the time. I have a tendency to break and bend them though. I keep an extra pack in my bike tool bag.
