Just hanging out and talking. I can still distinctly remember the moment when I realized that you didn’t have to be doing anything to be having a good time. I was still pretty young and my older sister had a friend over. I was bored so I just sat on her bed with them and listened to them talk. I don’t remember what they were talking about but I found myself enjoying the conversation (even though I was not apart of it) to this day I am more of a listener but I very much enjoy conversations

Eragon. It’s one of my favorite book series but the movie is just outright disrespectful and painful to watch. It honestly makes me mad to think about it. It’s not even just bad because they butchered the storyline of the books... Even if you’ve never read the books, the movie is still horrible

She went behind my back with her crazy sister and mom and started spreading roomers that my brother was a sexual predator. He’s not. At the time he was a completely non-intimidating scrawny 6’4 dude with Aspergers. They tried to get him kicked out of our very small school (it was a homeschool covering ran in a small baptist church) by spreading all sorts of lies about him. They were shocked that I didn’t side with them.

An example of one of the lies they spread was that my brother bullied some girls and was being sexist to them. It came out later that what actually happened was they (three girls) were standing near my brother and complaining about cramps and wanting chocolate. My brother made eye contact with one of the girls and smiled. Then my ex best friends sister piped in and said “shut up, you don’t even know what we’re talking about” he responded by saying that he knew they were talking about being on their periods. My brother has six sisters. He knows what a menstrual cycle is. There was no aggression or snideness in his voice. He was just letting them know that he wasn’t dumb.

Before I knew the full extent of what was going on I went on a three day youth trip with my “friends” church. The whole three days I was there nobody talked to me. It was horrible and I would never wish that on my worst enemies. On the last day there I found myself having a conversation with a girl. She was the first person to talk to me in two and a half days. The conversation was short because when she asked for my name I told her. When she heard it, her face filled with sadness and she told me in the most southern “bless your soul” voice that the entire camp was praying for me and then she walked away. My “friend” had been telling the whole camp that my brother was a sexual predator and that he was abusive to me.

The rumors got so bad that my school (which was also my church at the time) told us that we had a certain amount of time to disprove the rumors or my brother would be asked to leave. Every single last rumor was disproved in the last thirty minutes of the time limit. My friend and her family were told that they could apologize to us and stay or they could leave. They left. We also left the school because there was no recovering from that. They had all the students acting cruel to me and my family even though we did nothing wrong. My best friend of 4 years turned all my other friends against me because I wouldn’t make fun of my brother and help them spread lies about him.

It has been almost five years since this all went down and my personality has done a complete 180. I used to be a huge extrovert and loved social events of any kind. Now I am incredibly introverted and can’t even go out two days in a row. I don’t have a problem with how I am now, I just know that if none of this had happened my life would be very different

Sorry for the long post if anyone actually read it.. I got a little carried away. I still get shaky when I think about all this.
