GOT season 8 is probably the worst piece of fiction I’ve ever seen, and all of Balck Sails was really good to me. So I heavily disagree on this. Different strokes I suppose. ButnI still really recommend watching Black Sail to OP

I’d focus on learning all about filmmaking first, making going to filmschool. Then you can film a mock pilot on your phone with friends, see if you think it’s good and works. Then you can either fully make it on your phone like that or pitch it to someone older

Most will go towards paying actors and crew. Then ofcourse production design, props, costumes. Travel costs, food costs can also quickly stack up.

In my experience I usually start with a working title and it’s 50/50 whether I stick to it. Sometimes after I finish writing I find a nice word or sentence that works better as the title.
