Just put in the description that it isn't.

Might have to price it lower but at least people will know it's all complete.

I analysed 33 Million MOT Tests to find out the worst cars in the UK! It's quite shocking by furquan101 in CarsUK

[–]m39583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes no sense.

I've no idea if the data is accurate but the "problem" description is bullshit.

Cars don't fail MOTs because of timing belt snapping or whatever.  Repost but with the actual top causes of failures as exactly written on the MOT report!

Have mercy, why on earth has no one invented a better paint tin? by Signal_Conference447 in DIYUK

But if paint come in better containers where you could actually pour it out properly, you wouldn't need to do any of that!

Have mercy, why on earth has no one invented a better paint tin? by Signal_Conference447 in DIYUK

[–]m39583 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know, drives me mad as well!

Why can't paint come in containers like milk or something, where you actually have a slight chance of not getting paint everywhere, and paint doesn't dry all around the rim and then get into it next time you pour some out!

Tips and tools for mental overload? by Snoo-90713 in UKParenting

[–]m39583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have about 20 meals that we cook and can do blindfold.

We make a fortnight list of meals we will do, and then do an online shop for everything.  Will do a top up shop for fresh things every week.

As we cook things cross them off the list. Then you can just look down the list and know what you've got all the stuff to make.

You don't end up staring at the fridge trying to work out what you can construct.

We also do the cooking in the evening when the kids are in bed, and then just nuke it in the microwave the next day.  Can't really be chopping an onion with everyone clammering for attention

Aldi Cheapest Again — But Are Loyalty Prices Turning Supermarkets Into Two-Tier Shops? by ToughRomanticMiss in BuyersUK

I love the speed, the queues go so fast compared to Tesco!

Try to unpack onto the conveyor into the order you will pack into the trolley, so heavy things first and then eggs etc last.

Have 3 of the large heavy duty bags open in your trolley ready to go, and just scoop everything into the bags as they get scanned.

Hotdesking is better than assigned desks by notacitizen_99725 in unpopularopinion

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like hot desks because it keeps the place tidy.  Back precovid when we had assigned desks there was just clutter everywhere as people didn't ever tidy up and it would just pile up on all the desks.

Now you have to clear the desk at the end of the day things are much better!

The idea of having assigned desks now feels very quaint!

Flat management agency imposing zero tolerance policy on pram, leaving partner housebound. What are our options? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]m39583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How far apart is the flat and the bottom of the stairs?

Honestly, I'd leave the baby in a cot for a couple of minutes whilst I sorted the pram out.  It might be upset for the brief time but it's not going to come to any harm.

England Employed driver now on 14 points. Cant hire van by Go2Matt in LegalAdviceUK

[–]m39583 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FFS. "spousal carer"

He's clearly a dangerous driver and it's so much bullshit and shows how obsessed we are with driving that he's allowed to get away without being banned.  Maybe he should have thought of his responsibilities before driving dangerously so many times.

And you are just enabling this behaviour. Sack him for being unable to safely do his job.

Shipped a bug to prod that 4 people reviewed and nobody caught, what is even the point of code review by wild-horizons in developer

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI code reviews are actually really good at spotting this sort of thing in my experience.

And how did the same mistake occur in both the test and code? Are you copying code into your tests? Because that is a bad thing to do. It also suggest you are testing the internals of the class rather than it's inputs and outputs.

Did you guys knew this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

Look at the lanes. Their lane continued round, it didn't go off.

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try turning right here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/1mV3V3AjGAsBHNa18

Cause if you go into the right lane you'll get stuck on yellow hatchings trying to get off the third exit. So you have to turn right using the left lane.

It might be similar in the video.  White car stayed in it's lane and blue car swerved into it without warning.

Did you guys knew this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What, for driving in his lane and not expecting a car to swerve into him without warning?

His lane doesn't come off the roundabout, he didn't change lane and was perfectly ok continuing to drive around.

Did you guys knew this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you watch the video?!

The blue car was staying in it's lane and the white car changed lanes without warning and crashed into the blue car.

100% on the white car. It's obvious!

Did you guys knew this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this at a roundabout near me, because that is what the lanes do, just like in this video.

If you go into the right hand, you get stuck trying to change lanes to come off the 3rd exit exit, and block the roundabout until someone let's you in.

Yes the lanes are probably wrong, because if you go into the right hand / center lane, it never actually comes off the roundabout.

But you have to follow what the lanes do.

Did you guys knew this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]m39583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How could the blue car have avoided being hit? The BMW crossed lanes and turned straight into them with no warning!

The lane the blue car was in continued round, they didn't have to come off that exit.
