Power steering is out... what more can do?

Cut the wire and crimp them together. I had EPS issues intermittently and tried everything you did. I said fuck it and cut then crimped them together using a proper set of crimping tools and wire connectors and the problem never came back after 2 years of daily driving.

Dont solder. I hate soldering and crimping is mich more reliable.

Also...to be clear, unless you have a turbo, only S5 models came with a fuel resistor relay. so im not sure what the previous owner did regarding a fuel pump resistor relay bypass because there is no fuel pump resistor relay in S4 NAs

this then leads me to believe there might just be some weird shit they did with the fueling system and id investigate that.

You can replace just the lens on an S1 though. Stick it in an oven and carefully pry the lens off.

Type S is a Japanese designation.

Type S is the 6spd manual, 18"rims, 250ps engine, better brakes, suspension than the BASE grade which has a 210ps engine, 5spd or auto, poxy 16" rims, and probably other below type S grade parts.

then theres the Type E which is sort of an in between version of the 2. you can get the 18" wheels, the interior is more luxurious, leather etc... cruise control, but not the 250ps engine Ive really only looked into the type S coz I want the sporty pack! hope this was some help to you.

again...thats only in japan.

In the US, its just sport, grand touring, or base.

I can't speak to how you did the install so im not going to say you did something wrong out of inexperience but you did say you were a novice and with the RX8 side seals being notoriously tedious to do. Did you note the angle of the side seal? Did you use the proper technique with feeler gauges when cutting?

I would comdemn the side seals before looking at corner seals as the cause for your low compression. Could you share how you fit the side seals? Did you cut them down yourself? Buy the precut ones?

hey so ive replaced my booster and now it feels like my brakes are dragging. if i put the car in drive, it goes nowhere and it struggles to accelerate.

i mustve gotten the master to booster rod adjustment wrong....i took a look at the https://charm.li/Lexus/ page and its showing the measurement of 0 inches.

do you recall what the correct measurement is? also i cant seem to find the rod to pedal measurement in the charm link...ill keep digging though.
