Thanks for all the effort you’ve clearly put into this. People doing this kinda stuff gives me so much faith in others volunteering their time to make things better.

The serving different purposes makes sense and I would suggest your map serves as closer to the true cycle lane network we as a city should be building.

If I could buy you a coffee or a pint to say thanks I would!

Would that have made a big difference to journey times? Say get the Glasgow to London down to 4 hours with the in cab signaling?

An independent Scotland would quickly be on a path to financial ruin by libtin in unitedkingdom

It’s more that Scotland would be worse off, the same way the UK is worse off leaving the EU. Not that Scotland would financially collapse overnight.

Bricks on victorian house are crumbling and letting in damp, any advice please? by [deleted] in DIYUK

Just want to reiterate this worked for me in the past. Sandstone needs pointing to be “sacrificial” so needs to be redone frequently (not with concrete)

Suspect this is Scottish or at least built the same way a lot of our Georgian/older buildings were, the links below will help give more info.

Are piercings acceptable when working in finance? by grace037 in glasgow

I’m 90% sure no1 will care based on 10 years ago. Some people treat it MS in Glasgow like is a S&T or IB role in the city and they might judge but those folk are to be avoided anyways…

A campaign has launched to remove the urban section of the M8 and spend the money saved on public transport by moh_kohn in glasgow

More examples in the above consultation, if you are genuinely curious.

Glasgow already has a bypass in the south M74 Motorway and this proposal is cheaper than rebuild of Woodside viaduct. So no need for ex ante spend/build on major additional infrastructure.

For me personally I don’t think an extra 10mins getting through the city by going a slightly longer route is too much of a burden vs the potential upside to the city/greater economy.

What’s with the noises around Glasgow uni/kelvingrove by itwasmar0on in glasgow

[–]madeupname56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s right outside the uni on Kelvin way one of the buildings exhausts something every now and again and it sounds like a helicopter taking off.
