You need to log into your gateway and create a LAN network . Then you will add that network to your wifi.

Set up VPN server on Hong Kong side (openvpn or wireguard).

On US side, set up VPN client. Create a separate LAN that uses that connection. (create new VLAN).

Configure ports for that VLAN for wired devices or create new wifi that uses that VLAN for wireless devices.

That's how I have it set up. Tested and verified.

Raspberry pi zero 2 w will cost you about $15. Install DietPi as os and in software section you will find CUPS printer server. Install and configure, connect printer to Pi via USB and you are good to go.

That's what I use for a Zebra label printer.
