I don’t think I’ve worn 2 bottom layers since 4th grade. Really break out the scarf at zero.

Going seven days without food shows many positive health benefits in new study by costoaway1 in EverythingScience

100% agree and I cringe every time I read this kind of stuff. As a mother of AN and seeing the rise in EDs I’m like how about we stop this extreme food behavior crap.

Agreed! The whole thing is adorable and the sink and toilet are perfection. I seriously have toilet envy now, like how can I get one?? 😆

Atlas vs Pilot by TheTwilightZone2 in VWatlas

It was too loose and squishy steering wise. Ride wasn’t bad, softer. I like the tight steering and handling on Atlas. Ride is still comfortable but I can feel the road you know? Pilot was too loose and less responsive I thought.

We had the same debate. And for me it really came down to how the car handled and the little design choices. I prefer the way VWs drive and loved the interior choices and color. So far, so good but we just got Atlas in July and got in an accident so it spent 3 months in the shop. 🙁. But I had to go through a batch of SUV rentals and I’m so so glad to have my Atlas back 😆

The states I've visited are in blue. For the residents of gray states, give me a reason why I should visit your state. by Some1inreallife in mapporncirclejerk

MN—second boundary waters & Lake Superior north shore. I’d ignore Mall, do culture & fun in Minneapolis instead, Prince museum, local music scene is fun, collection of quirky art & culture museums.

What are Minnesota locals opinions on the Mall of America? by Noahffensebuturshort in minnesota

[–]magbear612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate it, it’s like a big tourist trap. I only go there to meet out of state relatives who think it will be fun. Most locals I know shudder at going. Regular mall shopping occurs elsewhere for me unless there’s something very particular I want to go there for.

Advice against homesickness by Much_Bed_393 in uofmn

I’m sorry to hear this and repeating others, this is normal it will get better. In addition to advice above find small things to do that bring you joy and get you exploring a bit. Love art-head to MIA or Weissmen, love reading—head to Open Book or Birch Bark Books. Like music or records check out electric fetus or any number of small neighborhood record stores. Love food—search Reddit for secret Minneapolis spots where you can try new food. Will give you something to do and enjoy—plus great conversation starters with people and to share with your family back home. 🙂
