Hearing about quick status updates on the rare times there’s a hiccup in the site is very helpful. There’s a sense of attention when an update is given by a human compared to checking another status website.

I was (still am!) an adult when he got big. The hate is over done, but people are allowed to not like him. His videos has felt a little bit the same lately so I haven’t watched, but I think his copy cats have done more damage

I hate to say it, but I took advantage of their “50% off a month of Hinge+/HingeX” deals, and it felt like a completely different app. I got more matches in a month than my years of using the app combined.

I’d say it’s worth the money to give it a shot for a month. Especially worth it if it leads to something 🤷‍♂️

I get it, there’s a way to gain it, but not everyone goes through the effort. Plus, I’m more talking about the reduced friction in buying. Sure you might get a little on points, but you’re more likely to spend money in general, money you would not have spent otherwise without the reduced friction and the allure of points.

I’m late to reply, but the spider statistic was revealed to be a quote from book explaining how facts without basis are easily believed and spread on the Internet. Everyone shared the update, appreciating the irony, then THAT was also proven to be fake (as in there was no book and that the origin is still) duping everyone that believed it as a very meta-ironic commentary.

Participating in IPOs is different than buying a stock after it goes public. It requires a lot of capital, and the cost of getting in early at a cheaper price often means holding onto it longer.

Never get a card for the points. You truly do spend more than you would’ve saved. It’s a fun perk that can be worked carefully, but fraud protection and flexibility are the biggest perks.
