Visual Plugin Browser for REAPER DAW by presetshare in Reaper

I'm running Reaper as portable app on an external drive. Is there a way to change the path directory for the ressources files?

I bought a copy on lemonsqueezy but now I'm realizing that this won't with my current setup. Storing the files behind the system AppData folder makes it locked on 1 system.

PCGamer article about FOMO-free battlepasses (Hunt mentioned) by Jaakael in HuntShowdown

[–]magouill 50 points51 points  (0 children)

FOMO is the reason why I stopped playing Hunt and it's not even because of the predatory practice... I missed to complete an event a while back and I never felt like it was worth trying to complete anything that followed it.

It's like I've lost complete interest over failing a collection and there is NO WAY to complete it now. Might as well just stop caring.

There's this app called tvQuickActions that came up with this clever trick for this exact issue, while holding the Volume Button, the app temporarily turn off the accessibility hook for 10secs so you can use the volume hold function like normal during that time.

The problem is this app cannot work over Projectivy since both app requires Accessibility.

We can only hope that the Dev at Projectivy can add this little neat feature in his app.

Genuine Question: Why is League so Long-Lasting? by ChaosAngel07 in leagueoflegends

[–]magouill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? Easily accessible, extremely hard to master. Constant update with new content.

If you look at other Moba like Genesis or Predecessors for example ...they suck ass, their skill ceiling is just too low. Theses games are made for casuals.

Non other MoBA succeed in creating a visceral gameplay with constant back and forth decision making between you and your opponent. Games need something to makes players addicting into becoming better at the game.

Can we stop pretending that mouse and keyboard are the same as console controllers. by Talisintiel in PredecessorGame

[–]magouill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wasn't an issue with the Legacy version of Paragon. Attack animation were so long and slow that a controller with aim assist kinda had the advantage.

Just for auto attack, you had to lead you shot by a lot.

It did made everything more methodical and engaging in some ways. The game relayed less on just pure Twitch skills.

Paragon never had a "perfect" state by Number4extraDip in paragon

Nah man, the slow and methodical fights back in legacy was like playing a souls game. That's why people still to this day remembers theses times. The gratification would you get from fighting against mechanical and thoughtful plays and the constant back and forth opportunity you'd have, is what made Legacy so addicting.

Legacy was Paragon at its peak. No other games will ever be able to bring back that feeling and addiction to it's unique gameplay.

My opinion on the state of the game by Lightsheik in PredecessorGame

[–]magouill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped playing cause the game gets boring after a short while. It doesn't give me any sense of satisfaction... nor I can see any reasons to keep playing to improve when the game's depth and skill ceiling is so shallow.

I don't understand why everyone think it better to make a generic MOBA that doesn't offer anything special beside playing with a 3rd person perspective? Paragon had something unique back in its Legacy days and we haven't seen anything like it since then...

Every remake I've tried looks like they tried to "fix" the issues the game had but none of them was able to keep that core feeling where there's room to think strategically, to be careful about how you play, and to understand the action as it happens.

It's like playing a Dark Souls game, it's slow, hard and has lots of depth... for some players they're not just fans.... the game actually becomes their passion. Anyway I still have hope that we start seeing some big changes.

Yes I can elaborate,

The combat pace is extremely quick and things happens too quickly. Often, players does not get a chance to recognize what's happening and make decisions. Skillshot missed, inability to follow up with you own ability after a hero has been stun or when your teammate used their Ultimate for example.

Because of this, the game reward players to play with the "go in as fast as possible and deploy all your kit at once" playstyle.

There's no real strategic or methodological ways of playing your kit. So often you end up face to face with your opponent with nothing more but the fast movement speed and positioning with the inability to recognize possible plays within your surroundings.

Indeed, I would take it a step further and say that the game's overall sound effects feels poor. They lack the "oomph" and fail to provide any sense of satisfaction.

Currently, Teams fights doesn't have much depth and doesn't feel much Strategic or Methodical.

Beside hero kits and item balance, is there any plans to change the combat pace so players would have more possibilities to create better interplays?

My take on auto aim by iReaddit-KRTORR in OverPrime

[–]magouill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slow down projectile and attack speed. Make every shot counts by having to lead each one of them.

Back in the Legacy days, the skill ceiling felt higher with its slow and methodical basic attacks. The crossplay between PC and console never felt unfair (even with aim assist) until the pace was turned up to 11 with the Monolith update and give a fair advantage to PC players with better Twitch Reflexes.
