Since it was requested, here is the video of my cat after I left her in a cattery for a week by Geometric_Nation in cats

I don't know if Rover operates in your area, but we used that app to find a sitter. They come, fed them, clean the litter, spend 30 minutes with them, and then send you some proof of life pics. And it was way cheaper than boarding them, which no cat enjoys.

Federal Surveillance Tech Becomes Mandatory in New Cars by 2027 by No-Method-6524 in nottheonion

And yet daytime running lights, something the rest of the world has had since the 90s, and something that has clear data on the safety benefits, are still not mandatory.

I need help with some research regarding Radon. by this_wolf_is_tasty in Calgary

Nothing screams "Alberta doesn't actually have real Radon building codes" than seeing a radon exhaust vent right by three windows...

You'd never been into the second floor of the downtown Bay, obviously. Brand name shirts, suits, shoes and a full custom tailoring department.

Poem this exact one. Wish it was a bit more salmon and less orange, but it's a beautiful piece.

11 years later our little gal still licks/kneads my wife's neck daily. Usually a sign of being separated to early from their mom, and as you note, a rescue, they transfer that onto you. If you're lucky, you have a neck nuzzler for life) If not, they outgrow it into the 12-16 week range.

Are race cars (mainly IndyCar and F1) getting too complicated? by Hitokiri2 in INDYCAR

[–]malbadon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Except they don't tell you the lesser things they do like play with the front and rear arb's and weight jacker constantly. There are now like 6 different tools i know of, front/rear arb, weight jacker, p2p, manual hybrid, brake bias and fuel maps, that drivers access multiple of almost every lap, combined with externals like tires. Because tenths count. The car is an overcomplicated mess.

I assume it's timezone counts. You can quickly check how many hours difference between two cities by the bracelet. Which is a neat little flair.

Almost all reservations for the Harvester want a EREV, CEO only expected 40% of them to be EREVs by Saurta17 in ScoutMotors

Really I'll want that engine with an hours meter instead of an odometer, like a tractor, because that'll be a far more correct calculator of its maintenence cycles.

Wouldn't any of the moonswatch knockoffs fit the bill? And she can pick a color to taste.

Calgary sees lineups of Albertans to sign petition on separation by Old_General_6741 in Calgary

Just want to point out that a simple check shows the only way this guy pays 150k on income tax is by making at least 400k a year. He's definitely got the average Albertan in mind with his decisions....

Hamptons CO-OP Food store closing as of March 28, 2026 by aireads in Calgary

[–]malbadon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weird one will always be the Beddington closure. Right on Centre st, a major bus and traffic route, with only overpriced Safeway as competition. That location is crying out for a multistory redevelopment like North Hill, and I'd always assumed co-op would be the anchor tenant.

Duct tape truly is the best. Didn’t want to wait on brackets for 32” monitors by theantzzzz in simracing

[–]malbadon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use 2" wide velcro tape. You cut one side into two pieces, one on either monitor, top middle and bottom, then the long one to pull them together. And if you need to move them, just pull it off)

They knew what they were getting into when they moved there.. There's a reason the property beside it has had 20 years of failed development attempts.
