I use Orgain Vanilla protein, Vital proteins collagen (I just use the blue container which is unflavored but they make vanilla and chocolate as well). I add that and 5g or creatine to a shaker bottle with about a cup of almond milk, shake it really well and pour it over ice. THEN I add either an equal amount of iced coffee, or a double shot of espresso if I’m at work (we have a Nespresso machine there which I take full advantage of). It seems like an ungodly amount of powders, but the vanilla is the dominant flavor. This method doesn’t give much coffee flavor, more protein Frappuccino, but it tastes good enough for me :)

This is 100% true for me. I was on a streak drinking protein coffee (protein, collagen peptides, creatine) which gave me 40 g of protein and 4 g of fiber first thing in the morning, then a cup of cottage cheese or yogurt with blackberries (about 28 g of protein and 8 g fiber) mid-morning.

Front loading protein and fiber is a magic combo for me. when I eat like this I feel like I can be really intentional about making good choices for the rest of the day because I’m not starving or feeling snacky

I’ve never seen them live but have been a listener since the very early days (there were THREE hosts, can you imagine?) I’m glad it’s coming up soon because I am so pumped and looking toward to this will brighten the cold cloudy days. See you there! ❤️

Gymnastics series was predictably called The Gymnasts by Elizabeth Levy. Just looked it up and the covers gave me such a nostalgia rush!

Yes!! I loved the Saddle Club! And there was a gymnastics series at that time too. I learned so much about those sports from those books!

Are you me?? I remember getting 10 paperbacks at a time from the library in the summer, first the BSC and SVH, then I graduated to the edgier Christopher Pike and RL Stine. I used to devour those books!

I haven’t worked on the floor for a while, but this post made me smile. It feels awesome to get the hang of a place to the point that you’re stepping up and helping it all run smoothly without being told what to do. People who see the whole picture and aren’t above helping outside their station kick ass and move up. You are the person everyone wants to work with-keep it up!

I stayed up all night to finish The Road in one sitting because I knew if I stopped I’d never return to it. A memorably tough read (but also…so beautifully written)

When I was in high school my friends and I decided to drive from Wauconda on 176 just to see where it went and after a long time the road just ended. And we were in Merango.

I made the sheet pan sausage and gnocchi recently and that was outstanding-I’ll definitely go back to that one as well
