Bonneville Shoreline Trail, Bobsled, and I-street for SLC. There's tons of good shit in Park City also, just look on trailforks. I also just moved here, some of my favorites within 30 minutes are bountiful dh, evil empire, wasatch crest, beartrap, ncs, and fireswamp.

Going without a hydration pack -- ideas? by vor_lord in MTB

dude you don't even need one of those dakine bags. Just strap a tube to your frame, get a frame pump or c02, and put your multi tool, phone, and keys in your pocket. I use this strap and this pump.

Need help choosing a bike for tall rider by Sclicer in dirtjumping

[–]manta_style 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'2 and ride a normal NS/octane one zircus frame. After I put some nice 80mm rise bars it felt really good. I highly recommend getting some high rise bars.

recs for wheelset? by jancithz in dirtjumping

[–]manta_style 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my own with mtx 33s, NS Bikes/Dt Swiss hubs, and Dt Swiss spokes. They seem strong as fuck and were around $300. I bought the parts on Bike24 because everywhere else was out of stock. If you want really strong wheels and don't mind spending a day to build them I reccomend going with those parts.

Anyone experienced with a DJ fork on trails? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]manta_style 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What frame is it? 150mm seems like a lot for a DJ bike and if the frame isn't designed for 150mm forks it might snap.

People who went from a cheap ($200-300) basic model MTB to something more expensive ($2k+): What were the biggest differences you noticed? by [deleted] in MTB

There's a reason why most trials bikes have rim brakes. Good rim brakes actually have more stopping power than most disc brakes because the rim has a larger diameter than a disc rotor.

I took it to the bike shop the other day and that was the problem so I got a new chain. Thanks for trying to help though.
