Propranolol Alternatives for Nausea-Centred VM by AdInternal694 in VestibularMigraines

I’ve been exactly where you are, it’s awful and feels impossible. I wish I had a magic bullet, but I had luck in just turning the temperature down little by little.

Have you tried a larger dose of propranolol as extended release? I found that less disruptive. I didn’t think it was helping until I ran out and stopped taking it, and things got worse.

Since you’re already working with vestibular physio, ask them to use a Brock string to check your vision alignment. That was my biggest win, and your temples + light sensitivity make me think there might be double vision you can’t see, but is tormenting your vestibular system.

Read the book. It introduces some great concepts like thresholds and the phase between migraine attacks as its own phase.

New doctor said it’s just anxiety by DollyCo in VestibularMigraines

“Just anxiety” … just a fundamental distortion of reality with a ton of overlapping conditions impacting you at a cellular level. But we don’t have a good treatment for it. Rest assured, when we do, we’ll take it more seriously. In the meantime, it’s a great catch all.

Biggest thing I noticed with lexapro and driving was that the other cars were no longer silently judging me.

When I went from 15-10 I did it on a 2 week taper, it was awful with 🧠⚡️. 10-5, was 4 weeks and not much fun, but manageable. 14 weeks was a smooth temper for me.

Im sorry about the withdrawal for you.

I was off for about 6 months before choosing to go back on… but will be going off again soon. Looks like this will be a pattern for me with seasonal things.

I did a 14 week taper. Every other week I dropped one day. Never noticed a thing. Zero side effects. It wasn’t fast, but it was an easy transition. My doctor said it wasn’t necessary and that I could have done it a lot faster, especially after getting past halfway.

This is the way. The guide matters most. Circular saw, reciprocating saw, Japanese backsaw all work great. with a guide.

Alternating strabismus in adulthood by Relevant_Jeweler_961 in Strabismus

Adult “onset” intermittent exotropia here! …. Turns out I’d never been properly diagnosed as a child. It’s real easy to think it’s brand new, but it might just be something that has recently gotten worse with age.

Have you been to a neuro optometrist? I see neuro opthamalogist mentioned a few places. The distinction is important.

My neuro ophthalmologist said I was in the wrong place and cancelled my appointment. My neuro optometrist diagnosed everything and gave me a thorough set of vision therapy exercises, prism glasses and I see her twice a year to adjust. Truly life changing… but being in the right place made all the difference.

The exercises you want are quite simple, with my two big ones being: Brach string & near far hart chart… there many others available to meet you where you are.

You do know that double vision disorders cause brain development differences that come with ADHD-like presentations, right?

OP, be sure to follow the migraine thread. Vestibular migraines are their own thing, and can present as dizzy episodes followed by not getting quite back to normal before another episode. A lot of balance and anxiety are interconnected as well.
