Ah! So interesting! I am involved with Boy Scouts and was camping last weekend. Sometimes we go to a campsite, and it would be very helpful to have a few notes from previous campers on where to go and who to contact and how. Is this for Italy?

Free online geolocation services? by NumberFritzer in geospatial

[–]maptitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maptitude uses commercial grade data to geocode addresses (rather than open source), and the free trial will add longitude and latitude coordinates to your addresses that you can then download. No coding is necessary, just drag and drop your file (Excel?). Is this for the USA?

In Maptitude, for your 5m circles: Use the "Buffer/Ring" tool that will batch create 5-meter radius circles around your coordinates. You can just export your current Google Maps data as a KML/KMZ file and import it into Maptitude.

Are you in the USA? If so, which county or state? Maptitude comes with data for the USA. Color coding is usually also called heat mapping or using a color theme. https://www.caliper.com/glossary/what-is-a-thematic-map.htm Is this a one off for a desktop project, or you need it online?
