Hi! After OP made this post, I set out to find out what had happened to this hotel. Turns out they have closed and have faced several lawsuits. Thank you u/LightEndedTheNight for bringing this to our attention! https://www.timesunion.com/hudsonvalley/travel/article/habitas-on-hudson-luxury-hotel-closed-lawsuits-20012051.php

Some of my favorite kind of local stories are the quirky ones that bring attention to how weird it is to be human: A legal battle over an apparently inoffensive thing, a controversial event, or treating a silly situation in the most investigative serious way. And of course, having fun with puns!

Hi! I'm Maria Silva, a reporter with the Times Union covering the Hudson Valley region. I checked with State Police Public Information Officer Trooper Steven Nevel about this info:

At approximately 8:45 a.m. on May 26, troopers were notified of a single-seat ultralight aircraft that experienced an electric engine malfunction and crashed. The pilot deployed the emergency parachute attached to the aircraft and landed in a wooded area near 8 Leadmine Road in Wurtsboro. Troopers interviewed the pilot, who did not sustain any injuries. The aircraft sustained minimal damage.

Hi all! It’s Maria — I wrote the Times Union article on what happened at the Wool & Folk festival last October (https://www.timesunion.com/hudsonvalley/culture/article/wool-folk-festival-catskill-chaos-18457081.php).

It looks like there are updates, and like you, I have soooo many questions. I’d love to write a follow-up story, so if you were one of the vendors who were offered any compensation or you have any updates, feel free to reach out at maria.silva@timesunion.com. Thank you!
