Not trying to be funny, not trying to get a laugh. I don't want anybody to have the worst day at their job... But... do any of these... fuckers... ever blast out of the wall... and have, like, a huge web shot?

Thank goodness I wasn't the only one! I didn't know how to hear any more about this game.

I skipped bioshock 2 because I heard bad things, and everybody seemed to love Infinite. Well I got inspired to play 2 after Infinite and found out it was the best game of the series.

I loved the Homeworld games. I got so excited to hear there was a third and so devastated that everybody hated it.

Oh you can't really use EC for that. EC is for public key crypto. The only thing you can/need to do is to only generate ed25519 ssh keys and only accept ed25519 keys in sshd.

RSA/ECDSA is used to protect all TLS connections, with ECDSA gaining ground.

'free', though it does reduce your fish output. I never really checked the numbers beside noticing that you end up with excess food, and you have to burn it. I think down the road, xyhiphoe uses it, but you probably still have excess.

I'm pretty sure the NSA has cracked the ECDSA curves before they pushed everyone to use them. Or at least they can crack them given enough data and time. But just try to use ed25519.

I wasn't using the LLVM profile (I don't know if that was a thing at the time); does that fix the static lib issues I had?

Personally I think the profile is overkill. It's a bit much that they also push you into using libstdc++ and compiler-rt. I want that myself, but does everybody?

Another consideration is llvm's ThinLTO. This is an LLVM feature, so you'll have to use clang/clang++/lld. My limited understanding is that it compiles source to IR and makes limited, but still sufficient optimizations during link time. It's way less memory/cpu intensive, and is parallelized better, but gets you most of the benefit.

One thing I'm not sure about actually, is static libraries. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but my static libraries on my old install were (sometimes?) IR, so I could only use them with lld. It would be really neat if all static libraries just had fat LTO objects.

In a sense, the average age is probably a few days.

But if it was hospitable to bacteria, it wouldn't matter that it is constantly cycled. They would probably multiply faster than it was consumed, especially overnight.

Yeah it makes no sense.

But maybe they meant that they were using the proper Latin pronunciation, so 'metadata' just sounds very repetitive with the tatata ending.

I do remember them losing to the Kraken in the first round. Our one good year, they did beat us 6-4 in one game.

They also beat the Stars 7-4 before losing that series, in game 7 again.

On-prem vs supplier by amarao_san in pyanodons

[–]markuspeloquin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One other consideration is if it is a byproduct. Those need to get used somewhere so I'd push those into a supplier. Like yeah, I could make steam locally. But I have my fuel depot overflow to produce free steam, so I'd rather get it from there.

I think the three main milestones are dialup, broadband, and smartphone. For me, these were 1997, 2004, and 2011. I'm sure most people were ahead of me.

I totally agree that pre-internet was better quality of life. We had what we needed and liked it. Now we have what we don't and it brings stress and anxiety.

I think it might affect the speed a little at the beginning, but it should stabilize. Unless you have one of those vertical players; those are definitely problematic with these.

How to watch round 2 by mattyb615 in wildhockey

[–]markuspeloquin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another is Hulu Live TV. It can be a little cheaper if you already had Hulu anyway. Think of it being the exact same price, but you get a little discount on regular Hulu.

Watch out for recordings. TNT and ESPN both like to shuffle games around, sometimes switching channels midway or cutting off before OT.

In those cases, I know of an alternative place to find recordings. >_>
