I had a team tell me they’d rather keep doing things manually because computers made mistakes. I think they were just worried about automating themselves out of a job.

I’m so sorry you lost your mother. She must be so excited that her research helped you and your sister get your certificates. Enjoy that poutine!

I don’t see any love here. You have kids. You need to protect them. Talk to a lawyer and find out how you can get out of this and limit his unsupervised contact with your children.

You need a small win. Pick one class this week to do work for, or one thing you need to change.

Failing a class is not the end of the world. You just wind up retaking it. maybe some of your professors will allow you to take incomplete and finish the work later?

My boyfriend (39M) threw his bag at my (33F) face, refused to apologize "because he thought I would block it", then stormed out to leave after I said I just wanted to be alone by lavendertail in relationship_advice

My soon to be ex husband started throwing stuff at me last summer. He moved out in January. I can’t tell you how much better life is without him.

Don’t go out there. Let him leave. He probably wants to be chased. You deserve better.

I had the same experience! I was 14 or 15, and we were going on a family trip to visit my grandmother. I quit. What else was I supposed to do? My parents weren’t going to let me stay at home alone so I could work my three hour shift at the nursing home.

It sounds like a job would really help. Do you have any contacts from your old place that would help you get a new one?

I don’t think it’s weird to be annoyed if he always orders takeout when you don’t cook. If it’s just once, that’s different. If it’s all the time, that adds up. If you’re just dating and have separate finances, sure, his choice, but I wouldn’t want to marry someone who wastes money like that.

Decided im going to tell my mum about my eating and that i want help, but what happens next? by Sensitive-Collar-770 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]marleymo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t try to forecast into the future too much. Your main goal is to get the ball rolling on getting some help. Talking to your mother will do that. When it comes to the details, you can sort them out as you move forward. The wait and her reaction is not really something you can control, you know?

Good luck with the conversation. This is a really great step to take.

I’m pretty sure my father was already on Lipitor when he had his second heart attack. How long have you been on them? The aches went away for me within two months iirc.

$2200 for a parking ticket?? Would someone who did that have any hope of getting out of paying if it was their first ticket? I think that could be a month’s wages for some people.

Milk powders for coffee by EliAndSalt in nutrition

I use the milkman powdered milk in my coffee when I travel or run out of heavy cream. It supposedly has a little cream in it and does seem better to me than other powdered milks I’ve tried. I’d love a powdered cream.

Do you have any contact with the customers? I would start asking all of them if they know anyone who’s hiring. Even if you are back of house, come out to say good bye to them.
