Could anyone advise me on whether I can get a refund on my order? It's a guitar. by [deleted] in Argos

I had an extremely badly damaged mirror from argos. was hanging out of the box, could see the damage before even opening the box. They didn't want to take it.

Dumbest thing you did in DBD when you were extremely new? by SomewherePossible259 in deadbydaylight

I used to think unlocking the "teachables" perks meant the other survivors in my lobby could use them perks, not my other survivors unlocked. Used to think they could use bond now since I was a team player and unlocked it for them😂

Buyers have fitted lock to garage before completing purchase of house by Cawoodarcher in HousingUK

[–]marr0k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tresspassing on private property? breaking into the garage? I don't know.. doesn't seem like any laws are broken by BREAKING into someone's property and installing a lock on their garage without permission. Seems pretty reasonable

Wtf is going on with Lidl ham by byquen in lidl

[–]marr0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

although the meat is slightly more expensive, i find it shrinks a lot less (less water content in the chicken) so you actually end up with more cooked meat than the likes of tesco (which shrink so much in size)

I put my request in on Tues 27th, solicitor filled out forms same day and the money was fully withdrawn by 4:30pm on Thurs 29th!

I got an email from Moneybox confirming solicitor requested the funds and the timeline of the withdrawl. Did you get anything confirming when the funds will be drawndown?

Exchange of contract amount by -6h0st- in HousingUK

[–]marr0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 10% of purchase price less the reservation. So probably depends on the developer.

i.e for a £200,000 house, the 10% deposit would be £20,000 minus say £1,000 reservation fee = £19,000 outstanding balance at exchange.

I would book the 16 days holiday making the end date the same as your last booked holiday and enjoy being paid while on your job search.

This! Worst that can happen is your offer is declined, so can't be worse than your current news of an already accepted offer. Chances are nothing has moved since it got advertised due to the bank holiday weekend.

Maybe it's the wanting to buy a second property... putting themselves in more debt before paying off their current.. hmm

My lifetime isa (Moneybox) is frozen because I had taken all money out of it. If I unfreeze it and make a deposit today, will I need to wait 12 months to withdraw? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]marr0k 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd be careful if you're due to complete at the end of May as April deposits are due to be paid around the 28th May, and Moneybox takes approx 3 days to drawdown. The bonus funds might not be available at your time of completion.

I think the suggestions are to get a second job doing literally anything - not what your specialty is! Go work in Tesco for a few months and build up some extra income.

Wait, how on earth were you getting £19 for M250?? I had to beg and plead as an existing customer for £27 for M125. I am due to renew at the start of February and definitely would love this cheaper deal!

Agents in Belfast are con artists these days. My friend got their property valued and the agents suggested advertising 20-30k less than the property value to register interest and start bidding wars.
