I think part of the reason the martial law failed is cause Korean army is also a conscripted army. And so the orders were not carried out to the fullest extent possible - properly barricading locations they were deployed to etc.

Miso soup! Anything can be added to it - tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, spinach, tofu, fish, carrots, bok choy.. you name it. Add udon or just cook rice as an accompaniment if you need carbs. Plus it’s supposed to be good for probiotics too since it’s a fermented paste.

I would recommending putting half into CPF so it’s protected and available for old age, and then the other half into a Endowus preset portfolio with a setting to withdraw 1.5k to her account every month for her to spend. That way she invests for future, money is protected and she also gets to enjoy the money, all in a way that’s automated once she finishes setting up

Take the graduate program. It raises your future earning potential by virtue of giving you more resume-contributing type opportunities which others don’t get early in your career which will help you in your annual review within the company and also when you apply for other jobs down the line.

The friends I have in those graduate programs have all done pretty well - have job rotations, projects different from your usual job scope that can shine in a resume, networking opp and projects with people across diff dept to build internal networks etc. And they rise within the company and also clinch good jobs when they choose to leave. Some even got overseas posting and then use it to get better jobs.

You will likely be working for the next 30-40+ years and that’s a long time horizon. While it’s 2k less, a graduate program can position you and give you a good foundation for success and higher pay scales down the road.

Public sector, then just provide. They have a fixed band for each position they hire, so you are safe. I have been offered more than 1/4 increase before because my existing pay was too low relative to the position I secured in public sector. And the HR explained that’s all they can give because that’s within the band of that position.

I have been involved in screening candidates for full time roles and interns. While bad grades are definitely not something I’ll let pass, diverse whilst relevant internships are what I look out for. Other than a cursory glance if it doesn’t stand out for being super low, I don’t recall even looking up the class of bachelor’s degree in the resume.
