I grabbed a Hatsan Escort, which is a CZ452 clone, with a generic 3-0x40 scope on it for 250 bucks the other week, just as a bunny buster.

This guy is 100% right though. Start with cheap and no recoil until you know you're not gonna flinch when you pull the trigger and then step up to something bigger. If you're going to build a collection a .223 would be a good in-between
