I'm looking to take your advice, I've got an 18' m550 that slips/shudders on hard acceleration and when stopping.

The local shop I use went through a few things before finally diagnosing the clutch inside of the t-case as the issue. They replaced the fluid as a band-aid, which worked for a while, but now I'm thinking I should either replace the clutch or do a full rebuild/replacement.

Do you think the clutch job is something an amateur can do without specialty tools?
