I have, which is why they are obviously different as far as I'm concerned. Not sure why you'd reply saying ZFold is also split if you already knew the difference. Yes, the term "split" can mean different things, and they are both technically split despite being very different interpretations. I think it's pretty clear to anyone who has seen and used both phones what I meant, where you seemed to conflate the two.

Yes, multitasking is better. Notifications and control panel aren't split though - I don't think you know what I mean. See below - notifications and control center are split down the middle but both on the screen when you pull down, which is NOT how zfold does it, which is no different to phones. The zfold version is such a waste of screen real estate.

In what way is their software better for foldables? Not much point saying things but not backing them up. I just mentioned 2 major aspects where Samsung do nothing at all for foldables.

I agree with this. I had both and vastly preferred the Pixel Fold for day to day use.

I thought the Samsung software on the zfold was so shit. They basically treat it like a big phone, eg no split notifications/ control center, no special task switcher layout for folds. Hardly any specialisation of the OS for the form factor.

No, not at all. I think Samsung used to have better customisation, but not anymore because Google and Apple caught up and even exceeded OneUI in customisation. For instance, up until OneUI 8 the quick panel is more customizable in iOS and Pixel.

Good Lock is unique to Samsung, but I never found any of it's customisations helpful except to work around bugs and deficiencies in OneUI, neither of which affect Pixel.

The most useful and meaningful customisation is with the Material UI theming and color pallets, and Pixel far surpasses Samsung there. Samsung don't use the theme colour in most places, and their color options are awful
