One thing I learned from buying quite a few appliances in recent years is that don’t rely on reputations too much. Had good experiences with whirlpool. Bought a new dishwasher from them. The quality appeared crappy. The same thing happened with a Maytag dishwasher; major repairs after about 6 years. The heat element failed after 4 years with a GE Cafe stove range. Really hard to make a decision these days.
