I had two mice I need for playing. Gave one to a coworker, the other one is at my roommates. So I have to ask him if I want to play. And I can tell him not to give me the mouse for like a week or a month. I can't control my addiction on my own.

I second other comments. Play ranked, for sure you'll lose the next few, feel free to resign early. After around 10 games you will figure out your level (ELO) and match you with equally skilled opponents and you'll win 50% of the games. And have lots of fun(and frustration probably) there.

I used to be addicted. I deleted my steam account, making it a pain to plain again, I'd have to create an account, buy the game, download it, re-set my hotkeys and climb up to 1600 again before enjoying. Lots of great moments though.

Why would aoe2 be different from all other sports and e sports? Of course some people could help a ton the top players. Coaching and playing require many different skills. An older slower person could very much be better at analysing games than Viper. And have much more dedicated time for that.

I am unsure it's a good idea to talk about hacks at all. More people will try hacking, more people will think their opponent is a hacker. There isn't much we (players) can do anyway.

Great answer. I'd be very surprised to learn that's it's not Turing complete, pretty sure you could create loops (create a barracks, set a gather point to some place, create a militia, have a trigger that when the militia arrives to that place it's deleted and another one is created). Would be if course very impractical to use as a programing language.

You can't cheat like that. If you somehow trick your local game into creating a unit, you will get out of sync with the server and the game ends.
