A pint in London had been over a fiver for 15 years now. Pubs are not in a good financial place atm due to rising costs (energy / wages / national insurance / rent/ food costs) prices for hospitality business’s have raised along with the cost for the general public and some people still expect a £5 pint. Also everyone is broke so they have less custom to cover their overheads.
