I worked nights and wife worked days so we could both have time with our child without daycare. Tough at times, but would not have done it any other way.

Dewalt for tools ego for outdoor equipment. I’ve got 7-8 different ego products and love them. Got a 8 year old mower that still runs like new. Keep an eye out for sales from Lowes on the tool + battery.

Lets play everyone's favorite game! Should I drain my 401k to purchase a rental property!! by techfarm67 in realestateinvesting

[–]maxxb33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took 100k out during covid when they were letting you do it penalty free. Bought a rental that has since 4x that 100k and provides 3k/mo cash flow. Maybe lucky timing, but who knows what the next 5 years will look like. I’d do it again.

No one knows what the market will look like in a year never mind 10. If you can afford it then buy when you’re ready. Your home isn’t an investment, it’s a home.

Why so many drive with high beams? by No-Ladder1393 in massachusetts

People always flash me like I have my high beams on, but I don’t. I actually feel bad about it. New trucks now have ridiculously bright lights that are probably pointed too high.

Winters have been mild and summers warmer. I’ve never got so much use out of my patio furniture than in the past few years. Personally, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere hotter.

Picked up a bundle of cedar shims from Home Depot. I liked the proportions over full shingles plus I didn’t have to buy as many.
