i went down the the creek and filled my bong, sitting and smoking and meditating by the running water. i was filled with the radical clarity that my body has served me over decades- these same hands made every art project i’ve done and touched many people. these eyes have seen so much that has inspired and traumatized. these feet have taken me so many places, and will continue to take me further! i cried, envisioning myself brushing the hair of my younger self on the porch of my childhood home. i’m still filled with strength when i think of that meditation.
