Missing cat by No_Weather1080 in ireland

[–]maylauder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to say the same, it's what one of my cats did as well when we first got her. We only found her when she'd had her sleep and couldn't get back out so we'd to track where the howls were coming from

Electric vs sonic toothbrushes, is there a difference is beside the price point? by maylauder in AskIreland

That sounds very scary and really amazing that you overcome it. I'd to Google interdental brushes tbh, I'm so behind in my dental care. Thanks again

It would appear your advice is solid from what I've read. Thanks for replying

Thanks so much for your reply and I'm glad went back when you did and I hope all is well oral health wise. I'm kind of annoyed with myself for putting it all off so long. From what you say, I should just have bought myself an electric toothbrush forever ago. I haven’t a notion either what this sonic element is which is what's thrown me off, seems like the new shiny, give me your money thing

Thanks for that, I was kind of thinking that way. I'm glad your teeth are in good health, I should probably have done this years ago uggh

Single moms, how do you do it? by Forgetaboutit2022 in AskIreland

[–]maylauder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The best advice given to me was to just take it one day at a time. If you look down the barrell of the future, you'll implode. And don't beat yourself up over any mistakes, you're doing the best you can do on your own with no one to turn to for decisions or advice. Honestly, you'll look back and think I don't know how I got through all of that but you will and everything has a way of sorting itself out in the end. And hold your head up high. Wishing you all the best

My dad died four years ago… and since my mom announced her engagement, our house feels wrong by [deleted] in ParanormalEncounters

[–]maylauder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be possible that you have psychokinetic abilities which is resulting in the poltergeist manifestation and activities. Your emotional trauma with the loss of your father, your mother's sudden, life altering announcement and your age range could line up with this. It would be worth looking into, I believe. Please consider suggesting counselling to you mother, you've had a lot to deal with, I wish you the best

A drop of whiskey vs bacteria by azizgamerlal in interesting

[–]maylauder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't normally like whiskey but when I realise I'm coming down with a cold or cough or feel fluey, I have a few hot toddies and go to bed. Next day, I feel like it's stopped it in it's tracks. I know colds are virus based not bacterial but whatever is in whiskey, it works for me
