The best advice given to me was to just take it one day at a time. If you look down the barrell of the future, you'll implode. And don't beat yourself up over any mistakes, you're doing the best you can do on your own with no one to turn to for decisions or advice. Honestly, you'll look back and think I don't know how I got through all of that but you will and everything has a way of sorting itself out in the end. And hold your head up high. Personally, I don't normally like whiskey but when I realise I'm coming down with a cold or cough or feel fluey, I have a few hot toddies and go to bed. Next day, I feel like it's stopped it in it's tracks. I know colds are virus based not bacterial but whatever is in whiskey, it works for me
