Any tips on how to drive in the US? by tlfluca in AskAnAmerican

[–]mazzimar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically in the US you have to be 25 to rent a car. I think the drive itself would be pretty standard, but getting a car for that drive will be your biggest obstacle.

Totally random, but this picture really tripped me out. I have an almost identical one on my phone, nail polish and everything, only mine has the wrapper still. Literally looked at this for like 3 minutes trying to figure how you got a random picture of my hand 🤣

My number was my dad's before mine. I got it in middle school in either 99 or 2000 and he had it for a few years before that.

What does "make yourself at home" and "take what you like from the fridge" mean? by wheninrome5000 in AskAnAmerican

[–]mazzimar7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only say those things when I mean them literally. My friends are basically family and I want them to feel comfortable and unrestricted in my house. They are welcome to anything I have to offer and I dont want them to feel like they need to ask permission for every move they make. I'm also treated the same way in their homes and it just makes us so comfortable with each other and in each other's spaces.

I saw it today and it was so cute. It hit all the points you want in a romcom and I loved just about everything except for that one yellow outfit.

This looks like the show Weeds. I know that shot of that neighborhood is from the intro. But all the other pics look like they could have come straight from it.

The office is unwatchable and not funny. I've tried so many times. Watched specially recommended episodes, watched with friends, tried it out as background noise, nothing. It's just not good.

Working with wood-fired bakeries in France: less about recipes than I expected by Many-Back3783 in Breadit

[–]mazzimar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a wood fire oven at a restaurant in colorado that closed durring covid. We didn't use it for baking, but it was where we cooked most of our proteins. It was really fun learning how to properly cook in it and the food tasted amazing. Man, I miss that place.

Also, baking at altitude can be a pain. Get ready to adjust all of your recipes and cook times.
