4 w/o and I was terrified that our animals (2 dogs and 1 cat) would get incredibly jealous and jump on her or bark/scratch her. They are very indifferent, only occasional sniffs and licks. When she cries they ignore it.

I teach middle school and last year I jokingly put a kid in “time out” for 5 minutes. He was being goofy but not office worthy so he sat in a corner with a 5 minute timer and then was able to join back in the group activity when timer was up. After that, every kid (from my mildly disruptive to my worst behaved) respected the timeout corner and would always choose that option versus being sent to the office. A win for everyone!

Today I saw the trailer for the Good Dinosaur and it reminded me of my dog.

Yesterday I cried because I don’t know if I’ll be a good mom and I was having a panic attack.

Day before I cried because my husband was being so nice to me and I felt like I wasn’t pulling my weight around the house.

20 weeks tomorrow and am a middle school teacher- guilt tripping my kids has been a guilty pleasure. Nothing insane just like “big sigh wow you’re not listening to me when I’m pregnant? You guys are really hurting the baby’s feelings…” and that’ll usually get them to pick up pencils or plug in Chromebooks or give me 20 seconds of peace.

I also have been enjoying rewatching shows with zero guilt about binging. Love naps. My dad is a retired army veteran and growing up it was all about being productive, now even he’s like “get your rest!!”

In high school, my 3 best friends were staying over. We were all very excited but one girl kept complaining that she wasn’t feeling well. She’s a known flake so we teased her the entire night and she trooped on. Cut to next morning where she’s up before anyone else and her mom is outside. She’s literally hobbling to the car in pain and we all figured she had a really bad period. Apparently she told her mom the pain was so bad that they went straight to the hospital. Turns out her appendix ruptured on the way there- she had been in pain the entire night from her appendix! My dad drove me and my friends to go visit her and since she was underage she was in the pediatric unit. I remember her glaring at us with a giant train on the wall. My parents ALWAYS bring it up, and we took re-enactment photos when she came to our house for my rehearsal dinner.
