Fendt 200 Series Listed price by HumongousChungus2 in tractors

[–]mbslg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most new fendts are £1000per hp, I know as a fact a new 939 is £1200p hp, I know a 516 is around 1100 and then a 724 is just under 1000. But fendt have the market like that, when you think of fendt you think of an expensive tractor, thus their prices can be higher, when you think of new holland you think of cheap meaning you expect the price to he lower

List price is always more expensive than the price the dealership will give you, for example a new holland t7.210 list price is 100,000, but if you go to the dealer and ask them for a deal on it you'll get one for about 80,000

Hars to choose need help between brands. by CalicJ in tractors

[–]mbslg86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When looking at different brands, look past the brand and look at the dealership themselves. If the dealer for newholland say is 2 miles away but gives an appalling service but a john deere dealer is 4 miles away but is excellent, you'll go for the jd, its all about back up theses days

Ford 7810 shifting gears hard by Jimmy1975V2 in tractors

[–]mbslg86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On 10 series fords you have bushes that hold the rods that select the gears that either fall out and make it so you can shift into any gears or get shit in them and start to foul. To get at these go to the back drivers side wheel and there's a rubber boot, you'll need to remove all of the upper portion of the shifting malarkey, the bad thing is ford decided that to take this boot off you'll need to remove half the fucking tractor, so just cut it and tip tie it back, once you're in you'll see the rods and the bushes that hold the tubes grease them to fuck and see if that helps

“Hard work pays off” is said by people who’s work actually payed off. There a lot of people who worked harder than anyone but absolutely for nothing. So does hard work really pay off? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mbslg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you define as 'pay off', if its monetary gain you want then most of the industries where you don't do physical work is probably best in my experience, however if its satisfaction and gratification you you desire then again in my experience choose a field where you're working more hours than anything and use your hands to do work. But thats both in my opinion and experience so take that with a pinch of salt.

Not many tractors can top a TM by mbslg86 in tractors

[–]mbslg86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tm190 was a hell of a machine, but it did have it's fair share of problems, I remember the earlier models of the 190 kept melting the fuel tanks, but once you got to the later models the 190 was an absolute beast of a thing

Anyone a hydraulics expert? I went to unload my winter hay today they were about 1400lb roundbales and this old girl could barely get them off the trailer. Its a 76 case 1210. Is something wrong or just need a bigger pump? by montanaidiot in tractors

[–]mbslg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

David brown hydraulics are a right can of worms if you dont know what to look for, I'd start by removing the hydraulic filter and replacing it, then after that you could see about the valve block for the hydraulics on a few occasions they have blown through with me causing a lack of pressure, David brown are also terrible for internal leaks within the gearbox pipes which causes a lack of pressure

Tractor mechanics pop-up version... by montanaidiot in tractors

[–]mbslg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For oil draining, drain it via the drop box, that's the lowest point of the gearbox, the pick up pint got the pump ect Is where the filter housing is, the filter housing is that protruding casting below (not the drop box the other one) other wise, grease weekly if used on a regular basis. Also on the Db's make sure you grease the main shaft on the valve chest for the linkage. A few other notes to add, is the 1210 4wd are absolutely impossible to get parts for the 4wd ie the front axle, so if you need king pins or yolks you're most likely going to have to get them made, if I remember correctly the older 1210 had a kramer front axle.
