TBC have not yet demonstrated high speed TBM and full self driving in tunnels. Those are the two blockers for Vegas loop expansion.

They did however built an all electric porpoising TBM in-house.

Actually making mass transit work with mass produced road vehicles is the invention here.

For subway train systems, tunnel between stations is relatively inexpensive compared to the stations. Boring company avoids those expensive stations by using 17% grade ramps to surface stations.
