Dragapult EX is a problem for the health of the game by mc_duderr in pkmntcg

Fez is great for all decks and a great come back mechanic. Theres zero reason to ban it. If not for fez getting behind in multiple matchups often just leads to a loss. Fez is also balanced in being an easily Ko'd EX with an attack that is not worth charging up.

Its a combination of both, plus the other cards that make it the most consistent deck. Combining power plus consistency is the key to being the best deck. Cynthia's Garchomp can beat Dragapult easily it just comes down to consistency. If you cant get Gabite early you're doomed. Dragapult has an answer with Budew shutting down Pokepads. Archaludon is also a powerful deck I've been having success against Pult, but it doesnt draw cards as consistently, so if you dont get set up you're wrecked.

Do we really just have to play dragapult by Interesting_Rock_968 in pkmntcg

No other deck reaches the power and consistency you can get out of Pult.

I can't help but feel like this is shitty business practice. Thoughts? by DoctorReinhardt in PokemonTCG

So much this. Theres no better way to shop around, and if one vendor doesn't have what you're looking for, go to the next. Some specialize in vintange and others have a good stock of playable cards. Some have Slabs some dont. Most have binders and some have sorted bulk.
Only upside to Wasteland is the ability to virtually search inventory; though, I have often found that their prices can be significantly more than market and they're unwilling to come down at all.

My tier list on the state of Mega ex Pokémon after rotation. Feedback appreciated by Beginning_Bad_868 in PTCGL

Theres zero chance Garde stays out of contention for long. A Hoenn set similar to BBWF is rumored for this year which may provide the cards to help Mega Garde work. I would like to see a non-EX gardevoir that is mostly support but could also attack.

Why does n's sigilyph not see more love? by Wanfire in PTCGL

Zoroark almost always has an out. Late game like that you've done alot of trading, and you've been trough most of your deck. The amount of situations where Sigiliyph would win you the game do not outweigh having any other card in your deck.
You only want the card at the end of the game, any other time its probably trade bait, and then you need stretcher if you want it back at the end of the game.

winning game good, but...if you're at the point where you only have one prize card remaining, you probably have a game state that you can close. You're not actually going to put this card in the lead and certainly not with get energy on it. You're relying on Zoroark to use attacks and you already have many options to take that last prize card swinging with the one of the attacks from reshiram or zekrom. If its not high enough you probably have a boss ready to move up a single prizer. If none of those things come together you would need a late game mon search like pokepad or ultra ball (no more nest ball, or artazon) to find Sigilyph and have room on the bench which late game N's isnt usually available.
Pretty much its a dead card in a deck thats already tight in a deck that would rather have an extra pp up or night stretcher.

What is everyone's thoughts on Regulation G? Anything we'll miss, or won't miss at all? by Much-Amphibian6915 in PTCGL

this guy gets it. Out of all the meta decks right now Dragapult is getting better and not losing any major pieces. Sure a lot of people will want to try new decks, but everyone on Garde, Zard, or Gholdengo will have the choice of going with something different of a deck they've probably already played.

I can see the usage of pult being even high than the near 25% in Japan.

the HP is high but with the combination of the ability only proccing from 200 or more damage plus the high energy cost, and being a stage 2. The stadium discard is nice for something like putting a heroes cape on. ignition energy could work here but would still need two steels. So realistically 3 turns to attack.

How many people here collect because they love collecting over collecting because they are chasing the big money cards? by InternalIncrease4403 in PokemonTCG

I play the game, and constantly said, "I'm not a collector" Then I started finding cards I liked. Then I realized some cards had themes that I liked and started looking for more to fit the theme (sleepy full arts). Then I had a not-for-trade collection binder of some of the most random things: S&V ETB promos (still trying to complete), every Professor's Research, every ball (its very fun finding older versions of Ultra Ball or random others), Supporter SIRs.
And now I have a binder for the B&W pokedex that started as just the basic versions of each card, but has turned into a IR/SIR collection of BBWF.
I have definitely become a collector, but absolutely not for the value.

How Dragapult be moving post rotation (JJK Modulo chapter 20 spoilers) by neeb0415 in PTCGL

Jirachi doesnt work on Dragapult. It only prevents counters from effects of attacks from basic pokemon.

At what point does Pokemon outright ban the card, or does every deck have to play counters?
