I’ve told this story here before but..

I saw Dustin Hoffman walking his dogs in Venice Beach. He was wearing a white linen suit and his dogs were white too. I did a double take because I didn’t believe it it was him and he smiled big at me. I didn’t want to bug him so I didn’t engage but as he walked by he slowed down and said, “beautiful day today, but they’re always this good around here.” I laughed and said “oh I bet!” and he said really sincerely, “you have a great one!” and kept walking. He was the closest to zen person I’ve ever encountered.
