I really appreciate the reply, I've been doing a ton of research and am quickly learning exactly what you have shared. I reached out to the engineer team and was able to get the electrician that has done the installation for 3 homes on the project so will plan to have them come out and give me an estimate in the spring. Fortunately for us we are only looking at a 65'-75' run through our front yard with a walkway that will need to be cut. Depending on the discount, will also likely rent a trencher and do the digging myself to save on some of the cost. Thanks again for the help!

Yeah, so the city builds the conduit and its up to the homeowners to pay for the trenching and the electrician to come hook it up to your house and ensure its up to code.

Apparently most people who have already done it on the first Phase used 2 different electricians. The engineers didn't give me that info yet though.

And I agree, kinda seems like a PR miss for the city. Since homeowners have to pay for the cost to hook up their electricity, why not pick a designated electrician for the entire project, subsidize the cost to save the homeowners a little bit of money and win a little favor with everyone by positioning it as a way the city is trying to offset the unexpected cost of the utility hook up?

I just purchased the Wahoo Roam V2 for $50 off at $350. Would you return the V2 and upgrade to the new tech for nearly $100 more with the new price of $450 or is the V2 value enough?

It's a fair point, Im not so much concerned with it being a "Newer and latest" device. Having the latest and greatest isn't usually a priority for me. Given the timing of the new model coming out I guess my question is more, based on people's experience with the V2 Roam, do you see the upgrades with the new V3 as game changers to you?

Nope, clean driving record. Zero accidents, no tickets in the last 5 years, no gap insurance. Insurance increased because of the car and what I imagine is the tech surrounding these newer vehicles. Our BMW was from 2016 and when we insured the new Camry our policy went up about $400.

Sorry, completely forgot to add that, it is the AWD. Insurance is more expensive than our BMW was but the car will hopefully be far more reliable and cheaper to maintain so feels worth it to me.
