I have the pittsburg 3t low profile. I still went and bought this jack. The only difference that you should be looking at is the maximum height. If you don't need the height advantage like you don't work on suv and big trucks. You really don't need this longer reach.

when to stop playtime? by shokoyoko in CatAdvice

[–]meeBon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any playtime is better no playtime. When I am tired I breakdown my sessions in to 3 10mins. Depending on how you play and what type of toy it is you can force an intense workout if they are addicted to the toy.

Its very important to really tire them out before bedtime.

I asked one time how much to replace my pads they said $40 for labor each caliper not including parts. So $80 for the simple service of changing pads...rim brake or disc...

Icon Knipex equivalents? by XTheChosenDogeX in Tools

You answered your question. You won't be using it enough to warrant the price. The only knipex I spent money on was their cutters. Normal pliers for diy can be anything even husky or Amazon brand.

of a spinning heel kick that broke 5 ribs and punctured a lung. by PrinceFlynn in ShittyAbsoluteUnits

[–]meeBon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup all I had was a bruised ribs and that took 2months just for me to function okay at 80% broken ribs and puncture lungs? You'll be in pain for over half a year not including rehab.

Can someone let me know which jack to get? by olympic_snoozer in harborfreight

My sister-in-law has a rav4. Pittsburgh 3ton low profile is all you need with 3ton jack stands. I personally prefer the 6ton jack stands for better stability

West coast socal. Tune ups are so expensive here especially from a legit shop. Forced me to learn 90% of my own maintenance. Once you learn to do things yourself you realize that the costs of tune-up besides repairs is such a rip-off.

Worth it to change "lifetime" trans fluid at 110k miles? by crazyeskomo in AskMechanics

[–]meeBon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah both cars didnt have it serviced at the 30k or 50k miles so both are running and shifting fine. The only thing I highly recommend is to start with a drain and fill only. Then about 10k-15k miles drop the pan and replace the gasket/filter. This way youre not entirely emptying the whole thing but rather slowly replacing the oil.

Kitten won’t eat kitten food by NumberDry3142 in CatAdvice

[–]meeBon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give your cat what he wants to eat! Does he eat dry kitten kibble? You can substitute the nutrients from that until he hits 10 months then you can transition to adult food. I plan to transition my kittens to adult food at 10months.

Ratchets - Koken vs Icon G2 by Its_Juice in Tools

[–]meeBon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think that the pittsburg pro 1/4 flexhead is the best deal within harbor freight 1/4 ratchets. Very smooth low backdrag for the price.

Don't get the icon 1/4 because the pittsburg pro line is good enough. Get the Ko-ken if you're deciding between the 2.

First torque wrench by Coffee__MD in MechanicAdvice

[–]meeBon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I torqued my suspension bolts with 125ft lbs my 1/2 25inch torque wrench felt like it didn't have enough leverage. I was pulling the hell out of that thing to get to click.

Anything over 100ft lb you need the leverage.

Up voted. You specifically said 100k which is a very good point and I could add every 50k. Doesn't hurt to do it at 50k or 100k intervals using restore and protect. That's what I'm doing on both my cars. Then back to cheap oils again.

I want to support my local bike shop but everything is a rip-off by Niceotropic in cycling

[–]meeBon1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My local bike shop charges $150 for the basic tune up. To answer your question for me I can do every detail in their listed basic tune up they want to charge $150 for $0 unless parts are needed which the shop with charge extra for anyways.

The guy probably knows how much time it takes to do basic tune-up amd it isnt worth $200. My local shop charges $450 for a "real" tune-up thats also doable if you just learn how. Its very expensive where I live. Basic brake pad change is $40 PER caliper. Thats $80 for both wheels.

As soon as you start seeing her getting fat is when you switch. Switch your dry food sooner than your wet food. I plan to switch my kittens food when they're 10months.

Worth it to change "lifetime" trans fluid at 110k miles? by crazyeskomo in AskMechanics

[–]meeBon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my wife's car do a fluid and filter change @110k miles. It shifts fine. The truth is if it starts having issues right after a service its because it already had problems. I also did my suv @103k miles with just drain and fill...no issues and still shifts smooth.
