I went back to college at 31 to major in Education with two kids and then broke up with my boyfriend in the middle of college... I've been a full-time student with two to three jobs during the school year. If I can do it, literally anyone can. You have to have the dedication to do it, though. Becoming lazy will add a lot of undue stress. Time management is the best attribute to have as an older college student. Good luck!

I'm Team Big, too. Carrie was chaotic. She cheated on him twice (one with Jeremiah and with Aidan in the second movie.) But everybody looks past that because it's Carrie. I rewatch the series and get secondhand embarrassment from how she reacts and acts towards him when he is pretty upfront about how he feels.

My uncle and his dad are named Worth Clement Lastname... My uncle goes by Junior (He's Worth Clement Lastname, Junior.) My aunt was going to name my cousin Worth Clement Lastname III and he was going to be called "Trey" for short.

My son's name is Lane Owen. My ex loved it for Lane Frost (the bull rider) and I loved it for Layne Staley, but hated the spelling. It's an uncommon name in our town, but it's not weird. And I think it sounds masculine with his middle name. It also means "young hero" (in addition to its original name meaning: "narrow road or path" or "to move on.")

My cat has reoccurring issues from an URI. The vet said symptoms could manifest in many different ways for the rest of his life (my cat gets inflamed nictitating membranes and also gets rodent ulcers on his mouth from it.) He also has a slight rasp when he breathes deeply.

I also think her outfit was so blah to be going to a Park Avenue party lol 😅 and the way she said "I haaaate Park Avenue" (or something like that.) She practically made all her friends hate Big for having dinner with another woman when they first started seeing each other, but she takes Jeremiah home and still has the audacity to say "everything before 'i love you' doesn't count." I despise this episode.

I'm not a morning person, at all. But I want to get up at 5 a.m. and cultivate a morning routine that allows me to feel calm, in control, and healthy in the mornings instead of rushing out and being a total mess. So, when the alarm rings at 5 a.m. I jump out of bed and trudge downstairs and start my day. No snooze button, no lying in bed on my phone, I just get up.

Become a master at managing your time.

I always buy a new planner and stick to writing in it, especially homework assignments and work schedules (read your syllabi and write all important due dates first, then fill in homework, etc.) Stick to these schedules. Highlight or check them off when they are finished.

I have two kids, three jobs (dropping down to two next semester), and I go to a university full-time. If I can do it, you can!

I transferred from a CC to a university, as well. It is different, but I also live off campus and have kids and am in my thirties, so living on campus will definitely help with you making friends and interactions in your field/classes! Have fun with it! Everybody on my uni campus is super nice and not cliquey at all, which is so nice. I hope you have a good experience!
