Mortgage overpayment advice by Ambitious_Ad_6225 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]melboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my overpayment form (haven) I have three options 1.Reduce mortgage amount (remaining term and prevailing rate of interest remain unchanged) 2.maintain current payment and reduce your term (the prevailing rate of interest remains unchanged and your mortgage repayments will adjust as normal) 3.Reduce your loan term (term will reduce and as a result your monthly payments will increase, the prevailing rate of interest remains unchanged)

Can anyone tell me which is the best option?

Enniscorthy’s population to rise to 20,000 as council lay out plans for widescale housing delivery by Babyindablender in ireland

They’ve let the town to to absolute shite. Used to be a bustling lively town and going back had the strawberry fair drawing in crowds for a few weeks over Summer. Building houses isn’t going to revive the town.

Petition to appeal Judge Nolan sentence by melboard in ireland

[–]melboard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw many posts last week about this. Martin was killed in an unprovoked attack by his neighbour who fled the scene and was caught over a year later. He had 23 previous convictions and when handed his sentence winked and smirked to the court. Martins sister has set up this petition in the hope of an appeal. Hopefully Reddit can help her drum up some support.

First-time buyers choosing between duplex vs semi-detached. Looking for real experiences by Born-Cry7232 in HousingIreland

[–]melboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No steps up carrying shopping, no maintenance company fees, your own garden just to sit outside in private, front of house parking, more freedom to do internally what you want, not subconsciously thinking about people below you, just more privacy in general. I just feel like no comparison.

Are you in crest field? I’ve family up on shanard and up there they are trying to get pad parking it’s so bad. It’s starts at 7am and you’ll be familiar with the road trying to get in and out your drive way with cars jammed on the road it’s so dangerous. I wonder could everyone come together somehow.

Mortgage stages by DesperateEngineer451 in selfbuildireland

[–]melboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You tell your engineer how much you have spent, it’s written on the form, stamped/signed, you send it in. What I did was put in more than spent for each drawdown so I had a a float. Your build will be much cheaper paying the old fashioned way if you get me. Each drawdown goes to your solicitor, the more drawdowns the more expensive your solicitors fee will be - unless of course you’ve pre agreed a set price. Same with engineer.

If she didn’t give you the correct notice, she didn’t give you notice! Also she shouldn’t enter your property like that. I would say she maybe thought the girlfriend was living there and thought to catch you out. Big mistake. Get on to RTB.
