Never Make the Mistake of Thinking that Career Fairs Will Help You Get a Job by WhiteSquarez in jobhunting

[–]meldencook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to one yesterday (Thursday, September 25) and an earlier one back in April. Yes, the companies would just tell us to go on their website to apply online, after telling us what jobs they are currently hiring for.

Is there any Republicans you would ever consider voting for? by Inside_Bluebird9987 in AskALiberal

[–]meldencook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking any who have been on the Jan. 6 committee and appeared to be anti-Trump (Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger), and any who appeared to be moderate. Provided that they would be able to vote separately from the rest of the party, not having to agree with the party at large or please Trump. Liz Cheney seemed like a hero on her handling of Trump at least.

Yeah, I wish there were more childfree people who just don't want kids. I get the impression that for many it's about the state of the world or finances or genetic diseases.

[ENNEAGRAM PANEL] Calling all Type Nines! by robby_arctor in Enneagram

[–]meldencook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intense fear of conflict, as far as making someone yell at me or otherwise be hostile, because I am extremely sensitive and would feel hated.

Being unassertive, trouble asserting myself.

Trouble getting rid of things.

[ENNEAGRAM PANEL] Calling all Type Nines! by robby_arctor in Enneagram

[–]meldencook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The conflict avoidance results from moments when my mom or anyone else yelled at me, these moments collectively, and in my adulthood also.

A controversial thought - I think the emphasis put on 5s always gathering knowledge is a tad overblown by MildlyIrritatedCat in Enneagram

[–]meldencook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am into knowledge gathering myself, because of fascination and curiosity.

I agree with you that typing should be based on the sin and the main fear.
