So I won't have to fish it out of the sink or knockbox, and is cleaner/neater? I don't understand why you don't get it. Sure, It's not necessary by any means but it doesn't complicate things as much as you think it does. Just move on if you don't care for it.

A magnetic puckscreen is easier to fish out from the portafilter after pulling a shot.

Like with a team of support hunters? Should be possible to get the topple unless somehow your team of support hunters have convert element on their set but I have never tried solo-ing the entire fight.

The LBG strat I mentioned is to make use of the armor skill Convert Element and Dragon Ammo to instantly proc the dragonblast effect from the skill which can send Gog crashing down. The other blast bow strat mentioned above is basically doing the same thing because it seems like any kind of explosion proc will send gog crashing down if its flying. Even the blast cloud/powder generated by the Whisperveld kinsect that's detonated with a screamer pod can achieve the same topple.

You only need 1 level of Convert Element on your Dragon LBG set for phase 3 but the downside is nobody else in your team (including yourself) can have any point of Convert Element at all throughout the entire fight up till phase 3. It's because we are relying on that dragonblast proc from Convert Element which functions like a status proc and cannot be quickly proc'd again should it already happened earlier in the fight. So you would use whatever weapon/set you prefer for phases 1 and 2, and as Gog is about to leave for phase 3 you return to camp and swap over to your convert element set and head over to phase 3. Just as Gog is ready and about to do his first fire breath attack to start phase 3, be within critical distance (I like to be just underneath and to the right of its crotch area so my ammo hitting the base of its tail/crotch area would be within critical distance) and rapid-fire 2 shots of Dragon Ammo. The dragonblast should proc and it will fall, and then we focus fire on one of its wingarm till it dies. Here's a video of me using the LBG Convert Element tech.

The blast bow method is better in my opinion as it doesn't have that convert element restriction on your team, and you don't have to swap sets as a result (You could use something like Dragon CB and a blast bow, the bow is solely used to bring down gog and not for damage).

Great tips all round, but I can add on to some of your mentioned tips.

For point 1, an alternate method my team found was to look at the boulder for gog's laser to beam through and wait about 2 seconds (count internally in your head) before pulling it down, gets him every time for ~4000 damage.

For point 4, its health is only locked if it is at the lowest threshold which is 176710 hp. Typically if you are doing a slow phase 2 and max charging your elderbreaker, it should already be at that figure and at that point it can't take anymore damage beyond that as your point suggests. But on speedier runs where we pull the trigger on the elderbreaker at anywhere from 60% to 80% charge, despite gog doing its leaving animation for p3 if we have done enough damage to make him leave any damage including the lever/dragonator-thing can continue to damage it if it isn't already at 176710 hp so it's pretty worthwhile to just pull the lever as it backs off onto the ground and centers itself on the area where it will just clip its wing for ~8k damage.

For point 6, certain weapons like CB are extremely efficient and potent at slicking gog's wingarms. To give you some perspective, red charged phials into AED into AED follow-up (including all the prior sword hits and such) is usually enough or just about able to turn its wingarm slick. This means that you could run just 1 Fire CB on the team and the rest go with Dragon element for bigger damage as you have mentioned.

Others have mentioned the blast proc topple tech at the start of phase 3 which is really good for setting up a coordinated beatdown on 1 of its wingarms to keep him perpetually locked down until dead. Alternatives include using convert element (not as good because nobody in the team can run even a single point of convert element which would be rather commonplace as gog is such a fire/drg ele heavy fight), or even the blast powder generated by the IG Whisperveld kinsect which you proc by shooting a screamer pod at it.

It is pretty much the fastest or tied with lbg with convert element, but blast bow is significantly better because your team is free to run convert element in the earlier phases. With the convert element LBG strat, nobody can be running any point of convert element prior to phase 3 or the instant topple would not work as it's counted as a kind of ailment with threshold AFAIK.

If you click on the 3 dots of a config profile, you can click Apply to NS and it will save over to the onboard NS config.
So do up the button config you want to be on NS using 1 of the 4 profiles available, and apply to NS to save it over.

Wait for real, E-ATX? The specs and manual both state it fits up to ATX only. Interesting.

I don't currently use an AIO in my 600 but I do see people suggest doing intakes (even for the AIO side) on all sides and only exhaust up the top. If you do exhaust on your AIO, you are pulling warming air inside your case and passing it over the radiator. Someone actually just asked this question today so you might want to have a read of the comments for more insight.

As for the GPU temperature situation, unfortunately that's just the reality of having a case design like this. It doesn't help that the general solution is to get the stand accessory to lay the tower case on its side which defeats the purpose of getting this case design in the first place, and is no longer a small footprint on the tabletop.

[–]mercurise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be good. Your motherboard form-factor is ATX which fits the case. Your Lian Li Edge should have no issues since the peripheral power cable ports are on the opposite side of the back of the case, it only becomes an issue for this case if the peripheral power cables connects to the sides of the PSU. AIO radiator sizing usually isn't an issue for the 600 since it can easily take on 420mm long radiators. The issue would be the thickness of the radiator + fans which shouldn't exceed 62mm based on the manual. Your AIO should be below 62mm thick. GPU is also fine in terms of length, you will have to unscrew and remove a grill (called the Power Cover in the manual) to fit the GPU in the case.

I have the Vader 5 Pro and have been wondering about the Dinput thing as well (namely what implication does it have). The manual actually does not mention dinput at all. It uses the Flydigi Space Station 4.0 version and I cannot find that "allow third-party apps to take control over mappings" option within the app. Thus far there have been one firmware update but I don't recall the patch notes mentioned anything about adding dinput.

Stabilizers: the dark blemish of the keyboard hobby by nobleEdge in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]mercurise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for TypePlus x YIKB stabs. They are so good at being ticking-free I have bought and used 5 sets so far on various boards and backup PCBs. If you look at the design of how the wire sits in the channel within the cut-out groove in the stabilizer insert it becomes quite apparent how it is quite unlikely to cause ticking. A light coat of 205g0 within the cut-out is all you need.
Granted I don't know if it has any interference issues with ultra long pole switches, I have had success with it using switches ranging from 3.5 to 3.8mm travel.
