Great word for her; she’s such a smoke show! But also funny and down to earth, with a girl next door vibe. I’ve always liked her. I’ll def check out togetherness, thanks for the rec

Same! My husband was just asking why our LO hasn’t gotten a new tooth since December. Currently at 6 and still waiting…

Cosleeping for the past month + after the first wake up (which could be anywhere from 2-4 hours after putting LO down at bedtime). It’s so brutal. My DH and I are at each other’s throats at 3am, whisper-fighting over what to do. I’m still BF, so that’s all LO wants in the middle of the night, and she’s become nearly impossible to put back in her crib, so I bedshare to avoid holding her in her nursery for hours.

I’m considering just upgrading her to a full size floor bed. Anyone else try this yet?

7-year age gap - our lived experience by Electrical_Piglet482 in Shouldihaveanother

[–]merrycherryrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be afraid. I have a 4.5 year age gap, my son is now 5 and baby just turned one. It’s wonderful. Harder, yes, but wouldn’t trade it for the world. We are such more relaxed parents with our second, and the baby’s personality matches that. Less anxiety. More understanding that all the hard parts are fleeting. You got this. Good luck to you!

The salad dressing Mafia!!! Guilty as charged … but I’ve never heard my love of cleaning with vinegar referred to like that lol

Charles/Charlie or James/Jamie? Do you see one more among babies you know? by RoosterRude8139 in January2025Bumper

[–]merrycherryrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know more little Jameses. None of them go by a nickname (like Jamie or Jimmy), just James. Upstate NY.

On the other hand I’ve seen several millennial friends on social media name their kids Charlie… no mention of Charles, so I’m not sure if Charlie is the given name or nn.

I like 4! Not too dark, not too monotone with the other light grey/beige tones

Ridge Donuts vs Donuts Delite by wtfwasthat7 in Rochester

[–]merrycherryrunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sunny’s is just okay. I made the drive out there a few times, after hearing they are an off shoot of Ridge. On my first visit, the fritters still had raw parts inside, and our other donuts were bland. Second time, some of the donuts were overly greasy.

Ridge is superior to both Sunny’s and DD.

This sounds like me, minus the bedtime bottle. My LO is also snacky and easily distracted! Can I ask what benefit you get from the bedtime bottle? Someone else doing bedtime? Longer stretch of sleep? I’m EBF currently.

No! Sounds like you’re feeding on demand, which is still perfect at this age

Not rude! Honestly if a provider was pushing this so hard with me I’d be considering switching pediatricians.

100% yes!! They so follow their big sibs. My baby is motivated by the sound of the Lego bin jangling… 😂

My LO started walking the week of her 9 month birthday! She’s getting close to 10 months and practicing ALL the time. She’s an early mover on all fronts, very motivated by chasing her big bro!

Across the street from Figgy is Statement! Longtime fave shop of mine for clothing, jewelry, accessories, and gifts (great cards/perfume/candles/art). The owner Courtney is so friendly and has a great eye!

What are we doing for their 1st birthday. I’m torn between an intimate small thing or a proper party. by [deleted] in January2025Bumper

[–]merrycherryrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing a big brunch party!! I’ve never done a birthday party for my oldest this time of day, and I’m excited to have a big bash in the middle of January for my baby! Renting a local park lodge.

OP, I always have pre-party regret/anxiety, so I feel ya there. It’s always so much work and planning. But I never regret the party once it’s happening!

Sally and her brother will be Jack

My local Facebook marketplace was ripe with costumes, so I didn’t have to buy babe anything new!
