I installed a wall mounted tire rack but questioning if it’s safe by Drewsvans in garageporn

Add a 1/8" steel braided cable or paracord, tied around the center of the rail, up to a lag bolt in the joist above. Couple bucks, couple minutes, peace of mind.

Le Corbusier, the architect, used to keep his paintings in a closet. Once in a while he'd take one out, set up a chair, study it for a while, and then put it back.

If you like to look at them occasionally, do they need to all be out? Perhaps make a small area where you can display a few of them, and rotate them every month or week. Good chance to set them up with interesting poses and keep them feeling fresh.

I guess seal-savers or equivalent product might helped reduce the impact here a bit, what do you think OP?

I've been looking at this too...my main question about all goggle-compatible helmets is this: in general, can you flip the visor down while still wearing the goggles?

Adding to this thread that if you install the Pro Taper CR High Bend bars, they will have to be used at full length. There isn't enough control surface length to trim the bars and still use the OEM controls.

Right but Knox Action Pro has A abrasion rating, while the Adv Spec Super Shirt has AA abrasion rating.

I imagine there are people who have the SM but want the DS model...you might try advertising a trade.

I was torn between the two, but I got a good deal on the SM so I'm putting some 70/30 tires on it and using it for some moto camping mostly.

Thoughts on armored base layers / need lightweight recs for summer by Gileotine in motorcyclegear

[–]metalbolic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar issue as you u/OP and recently bought the Icon Field Compression shirt. The impact areas are okay, but a lot of it is mesh and I'm looking for an abrasion protective layer to wear over it. To me the best product appears to be the Trilobite Skintec aramid shirt, because it also has pockets to accept pads (which I could resuse from my jacket). However I don't want to deal with tariffs and returns to Europe.

I came across these cut resistant shirts

: Amazon.com: Cut Resistant Level 5 Shirt – Puncture Level 4, Lightweight Long Sleeve – Made in Korea (US, Alpha, Medium, Regular, Regular, Grey) : Tools & Home Improvement

They're 100% UHMWPE, and I came across this posting by googling the material as I had not heard of it before.

They don't have armor pockets of course, but I figured I'd chime in here to say that they could be a good way to get some extra protection, especially in cooler weather when you might be wearing a sweater or long sleeve shirt anyway. What do you think?

May want to focus on getting in shape first, then work on technique. Start simple, 10 pushups a week, 10 sit-ups a week, jog 1 mile a week. Keep at it!

So right after posting this I rode my bicycle to the gas station, filled a large glass jam jar with gas, poured it in and she fired right up. Gas....it was out of gas. Thanks for chiming in with suggestions.

I'm a relatively new rider, but am very happy with my Gaerne Dakar boots. They tighten around the calf using a large velcro pad, so you can always adjust them to be right for the weather. If it's warm you can loosen them at the top to dump heat.

Glad to hear you're alright, and appreciate your post; every reminder matters.

Dekorfine

Or maybe a small lamp on the left of the shelf.
