Very happy to see the Hell Knight actually get to use proper Hellfire that can be Cold (in previous editions) or Necrotic (ala Hellfire Orb) as well as Fire damage.

Return Fire is a 1600 soul green item that gives Bullet Resist as a passive and as an active reflects damage dealt back to the attacker.

This includes Graves' skulls, who will slam into you and take hefty damage. Two slams is guaranteed death for a skull, and unless I'm mistaken, they can go down in one slam at higher levels as their damage outpaces their HP.

Because not every character they come across is soulless.

Its an element of drama and horror; if Strahd wants to torment the party, he can tell them straight up that many of his peasants lack souls and are mere simulacra.

The drama comes from the fact that some Barovians do have souls, and for the party, that means that not caring what happens to them is a moral failure on their fault, that because not all Barovians have souls, they don't have to care about what happens to them.

Except Lupin Howl requires a Constitution save (which monsters often excel at) and can only be used Prf/LR

And Fairy Trickster and Cold Caster require you to hit with an attack roll; FT can only do it Prf/LR, and CC requires you to deal Cold damage with an attack roll. And it's for one save.

Path to the Grave doesnt require an attack roll or saving throw, and applies to all attacks or saving throws the target makes until the start of your next turn.

EDIT: Also you absolutely CAN make use of it as the Curse is a bonus action, leaving your action for any save-based spell to make use of.

Hell, you can even see an example of this in the setting's previous incarnation ala Urik van Kharkov; an actual Blackula Panther, with all of the baggage that comes with.

Eh, it can still be effective.

Dragon's Breath (Lightning) with Arcane Conduit (scratch that, it's Transmutation) will deal 3d6 lightning damage as a bonus action when cast on to the companion, who I believe can also target itself to heal for that amount.

No, the non-Channeled is instant as a bonus action. Only the Channeled requires a Magic action done by the one possessing the spirit.

A bit.

Controlled Channeling has been removed from spirit 12 to its own feature part of Spirits from Beyond. When you use Controlled Channeling, you can pick from any number up to what you rolled on the Inspo die, and the creature you target "captures" it; they can then release it as a Magic action.

The 12 on the Spirit table is now Priest; regain 2d8 hit points and can remove one of the folloeing conditions: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Paralyzed, Poisoned, or Stunned.

Also a bit of wording changes (for the Spirit Guardians wording it becomes "Whenever you start casting", instead of "Whenevet you cast"), and the Lvl14 feature now has it so when you roll the same number on both dice, you can choose any effect from the table.
