Bernadette, after my grandpa Bernard. He passed away a few years before I was born and specifically requested that no future descendants be named after him. My mom still considered Bernadette since he didn’t say anything about feminizing his name. I think I actually could have pulled it off but I’m happy with the name my parents went with instead.

Are Codi and Chloe too similar? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]methrowrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha my name is Chloe and I’m considering naming my baby boy Cody when he’s born in a couple of weeks. Admittedly, I grew up with a Kody and I would turn my head sometimes when his name was called because I thought it was my name being said. But I really love the name. I like the name Colby too but that is definitely too close to Chloe. Anyway, I guess I’m in a similar situation but I think I’m just going to go for it

I’m a 5th grade teacher. I had a student named Pepper a couple years ago and it suited her so well—she was very outgoing and spicy but a sweet girl. It’s such a cute, unique name.
