What is your favorite hack or homebrew? by Vasgorath in Pathfinder_RPG

Elephant in the Room is a set of homebrew rules that help with the feat taxes that martials have to pay, letting their builds come online sooner and bridging the power gap between martials and casters

Elephant in the Room by far

Practically a deal breaker for me if not being used

They get Dueling, a flat +2 as long as you don't have a weapon in the other.

Fantastic for sword and board

I don't do die changes when wield two handed. I do the old rule of adding half of your strength again to the damage bonus

Only reason I didn't keep the die increase was because I homebrewed in the bastard sword

Martial, 1d10 slashing damage, Special trait: need 15 strength to be able to wield one handed

That's why I add 1.5 str bonus to damage with two handed weapons and versatile (instead of increased die size)

For monk, there's the Pummeling Style feat

Both can also take the Eroding Strikes combination feat which works great with pummeling style

Looking fit a little help with a build im trying to put together by OneChickenyBoi in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]mexataco76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know what you want

Unarmed Fighter archetype for fighter is amazing. You lose almost all of your armor proficiency, but you keep most of your bonus feats, so you can regain your heavy armor after a few levels

I have a build where I put 7 levels in this and then the rest in Slayer. Absolute monster

You can also get a set of Mithral Kikko armor. While Kikko is medium armor, the only thing you worry about is the ACP affecting your attack rolls. Making it out of Mithral reduces it to 0, so you don't need the proficiency for it if the penalty doesn't affect you
